For an exclusive amount, tax is added as a percentage. For an inclusive amount, the tax portion is extracted from the total.
Choose inclusive or exclusive mode, enter the amount and tax rate, then compare the net, tax, and gross values.
The net amount excludes GST/VAT, the tax amount is the calculated portion, and the gross amount includes it.
At 10% GST, $100 exclusive becomes $110 inclusive; $110 inclusive contains $10 GST.
Use the rate that applies to your situation. This tool does not determine local tax rules or exemptions.
